Laura Bell Bundy, Marilyn Maye & More Set for Young Actors' Theatre Camp This Summer

Program Directors Shawn Ryan and John Ainsworth announced today that this summer will be their BIGGEST Young Actors' Theatre Camp yet with stars of television, film, and Broadway coming to lead master classes. This year's camp expands into three separate locations including Camp Cazadero in Sonoma County (June 14-23, 2015), Camp MayMac in Santa Cruz County (July 6-16, 2015) and Camp CGC in Auburn County (July 19-29, 2015). The Young Actors' Theatre Camp is one of the nation's premier drama and theatre camps where students ages 8 to 18 from around the world will be immersed in hands-on, diverse courses to hone their performing arts skills and incite their creative imagination. Star instructors this summer include:

  • Jim O'Heir (NBC's Parks and Recreation)
  • Naomi Grossman (FX's American Horror Story)
  • Marilyn Maye (The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson)
  • Danny Sherman (Thru Line Management)
  • James Alsop (Choreographer for Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce)
  • Tory Ross (The Producers, Kinky Boots)
  • Candi Milo (Voice of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer)
  • Shiloh Fernandez (Evil Dead)
  • Andrea Marcovicci (Golden Globe Nominated Actress)

There are limited amounts of spaces left in all three Summer Camp Sessions, each one lasting 10 or 11 days:

Session 1: 6/14-23 (Sonoma County) Session 2: 7/6-16 (Santa Cruz County) Session 3: 7/19-29 (Sonoma County)

Courses at this year's Young Actors' Theatre Camp include vocal technique, acting, dancing, filmmaking, on-camera audition technique, comedy, improvisation and more. Outside of classes, campers will enjoy a variety of activities include swimming, movie nights, talent shows, arts and crafts, nature hikes...and, yes, S'mores!

The camp is about giving children and young adults the opportunity to express their individuality both on stage and off.
