Hotel Nikko San Francisco and Michael Feinstein are proud to welcome English songbird, Julia Fordham, to Feinstein's at the Nikko tonight, June 18 at 8 p.m. for one performance only!

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of her landmark album, "Porcelain," Fordham will perform the album in its entirety. Accompanied by her long-time pianist and album producer Grant Mitchell, they will also perform some of her other hits along with a few surprises.

Tickets for Julia Fordham range in price from $35-$50 and are on-sale now and available by calling 866.663.1063 or visiting www.ticketweb.com.

Julia Fordham's remarkable singing and heartfelt compositions make her a unique voice and talent of breathtaking diversity. From 1988's "Happy Ever After" - her first release and an international hit - to her most recent, "The Language of Love," these extraordinary characteristics are etched indelibly throughout Julia's musical career.

Produced and arranged by Julia's long-time collaborator, pianist and musician extraordinaire, Grant Mitchell, "The Language of Love," is a jazz album featuring covers of songs that were also hits on the Japanese charts. Supported by an outstanding ensemble of leading Los Angeles musicians and Latin jazz aficionados, this seductive collection includes swing, bossa nova and traditional trio interpretations of familiar chart-toppers.

"The Language of Love" also debuts two original songs written by Julia, "Like You Used To Do" and "The Morning After (The Night With You)," and includes a new World Music-flavored rendition of "Happy Ever After." The original version was a #1 hit in Japan.

At age 14, Julia started writing songs and playing them in local folk clubs. Soon after, she was invited to be a guest singer with NYJO (the National Youth Jazz Orchestra in the UK) which sparked a lifelong love of the genre. On her highly acclaimed second album, "Porcelain," two original jazz songs "For You, Only For You" and "China Blue" were featured along with the hits "Manhattan Skyline" and "Lock and Key."

This year marked the 25th anniversary of the release of "Porcelain." Julia celebrated by touring the UK for a month of sold out shows.

In 1992, "Love Moves" (from her third album "Swept"), was chosen as the theme song for "The Butcher's Wife," starring Demi Moore. A big hit in both the UK and US, it also reached the #1 slot in the Philippines. Her 10th album, "China Blue," is a collection of original jazz compositions, except for one song: a reinterpretation of Michael McDonald's "I Keep Forgetting" with Michael himself contributing his amazing vocals.

Three of Julia's albums have been produced by Grammy winner Larry Klein (Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock, Madeline Peyroux). Her 2005 live CD ("That's Life") and DVD ("That's Live"), features Klein as producer and bass player as part of an all-star band including the Academy Award-winning trumpet player/composer, Mark Isham. On the soulful song "Concrete Love," Julia performs a stunning duet with another Grammy winner, India.Arie.

Released in 2006, Julia's "Baby Love" EP is a set of unconditional love songs, all dedicated to her daughter, Marley Rose.

After 2004's devastating tsunami struck in Asia, Julia became intimately involved in a charity project to help rebuild a school in India, by giving over the proceeds from a "Happy Ever After" remix. It featured a children's choir from a village near her hometown on the south coast of England. This beautiful production brought Julia back full circle to the place where she first started writing and performing songs in local folk clubs as a teenager.

Julia's last release, "Under The Rainbow," is a piano/voice album featuring all her hits and fan favorites, plus a new song "Skipping Under The Rainbow."

Having performed at both The Blue Note and Cotton Club in Japan, Julia returned to Japan in January 2015, touring with her jazz trio.
