This comic chronicle tells the misadventures of directing A Streetcar Named Desire at a community theatre in his Southern hometown. Award-winning comedian/actor
Jim David not only plays himself, but the dozen or so eccentric town folk involved in mounting a seemingly doomed production of the
Tennessee Williams classic. Be very afraid.
Jim David's theatre career ranges from playing a munchkin in the Wizard of Oz at the age of nine, to appearing on Broadway in the musical The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public, directed by
Tommy Tune and
Peter Masterson. He has appeared on many television comedy shows, most notably his special, Comedy Central Presents
Jim David, and a two-year stint on Comedy Central's Tough Crowd with
Colin Quinn. David also appeared on Comedy Central's Out on
The Edge, Comic Cabana, USO Comedy Tour, Comic Remix and Friar's Club Roast of
Rob Reiner, Bravo's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and Greatest Things About Being Queer, ABC's The View, and A&E's Caroline's Comedy Hour and An Evening at the Improv.
