Due to popular demand,  the Marin Theatre Company (Mill Valley, CA) production of "Jacques Brel is Alive and Well  & Living in Paris" has been extended through June 22, 2008, it was announced by the show's producer Dan Whitten.    "It is thrilling to know that West Coast audiences are embracing "Brel" just as they did when the show played Off Broadway last year," notes Whitten.  "I am very proud to be able to share this special show with those who saw the original 1968 production, as well as new fans who are discovering the Brel magic for the first time."

With a cast of four actors and four musicians, the show celebrates Brel's timeless relevance and enduring passions. Translated from the French by American poet Eric Blau and lyricist Mort Shuman the show is a diverse blend of ballads, tangos, boleros and classics. With raw human emotion, each piece tells a story, examining themes of love, war and adventure but never forgetting that life, with all its tragedies and complexities shows us much humor.

"Jacques Brel is Alive and Well & Living in Paris" is playing through June 22, 2008 at  Marin Theatre Company's Boyer Theatre (397 Miller Avenue -  Mill Valley, CA).   For additional information, including how to purchase tickets, please visit www.marintheatre.org.
