In a nod to the legion of gay and gay-friendly audiences at Insignificant Others, Saturday, March 22 has been proclaimed "Queer at the PIER" Day.  The Rainbow Flag will fly overhead as Greg & Fernando from ENERGY 92.7 FM host an evening mixer and dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe beginning at 6pm, followed by an 8PM performance of Insignificant Others just upstairs at Theatre 39.  Additionally, activelyOUT.com, a network of LGBT professionals, is a proud sponsor of this event. Tickets are just $59 (includes dinner mixer and show) at isomusical.com.  Choose the March 22nd 92.7 FM special event on the ticket calendar, or call the box office at (415) 433-3939 to reserve the dinner and show.

Insignificant Others is the first gay-themed show to play in that marquee space—and the first queer-themed entertainment of any kind at the PIER.  Many of the cast and crew of Insignificant Others are gay and are excited to bring more gay diversity to the PIER.

"Insignificant Others follows the romantic foibles of five friends–two gay men and three straight women–who move to San Francisco from the Midwest seeking love and adventure," describe press notes.

Under the direction of George Quick, the cast features local actors Sarah Kathleen Farrell, Omi Fernandez, Jennifer Graham Jason Hoover, Kevin Maldarelli, Alex Rodriguez, and Michael Triolo.  Additional cast members include Douglas Buel, Jovan Calloway, and Michael Tongko. Keeping the production on track is stage manager Sarah Avigale de Asis and keeping them on their toes is choreographer David E. Garcia.

Insignificant Others  – an original musical by San Francisco composer and lyricist, L. Jay Kuo –  plays at Theatre 39 at PIER 39. located at Beach Street and The Embarcadero, San Francisco.  Shows every Fri & Sat at 8pm and Sun at 2pm.  Tickets are $46/$39.   For more information, music samples and production videos, visit www.isomusical.com
