Hillbarn Theatre, the Peninsula's premier community theatre company, follows up on the success of their 2016-17 season opener, Legally Blonde The Musical, with Aaron Sorkin's critically acclaimed drama, A Few Good Men.

This Broadway hit about the trial of two Marines for complicity in the death of a fellow Marine at Guantanamo Bay sizzles on stage. The Navy lawyer, a callow young man more interested in softball games than the case, expects a plea bargain and a cover-up of what really happened. Prodded by a female member of his defense team, the lawyer eventually makes a valiant effort to defend his clients and, in so doing, puts the military mentality and the Marine code of honor on trial.

A Few Good Men will perform October 13-23, 2016 at Hillbarn Theatre (1285 East Hillsdale Blvd., Foster City). Performances are Thursdays-Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Press night for A Few Good Men will be Friday, October 14, 2016. Single tickets range in price from $45-$48 and are available now by calling 650.349.6411 ext. 2 or visiting www.hillbarntheatre.org.

"I chose A Few Good Men because I thought what better way to embody the ideal of our 76th season than with the exploration of self worth and being true to one's self," says Hillbarn Theatre Executive Artistic Director Dan Demers, "Also, as we prepare to vote this November, I wanted to present a piece that would make the community think about their own belonging - as people and as a nation."

Led by Tom Gorrebeck* as Lt. j.g. Daniel Kaffee and Colonel Christopher C. Starling, USMC (Ret.) as Lt. Col. Nathan Jessep, A Few Good Men features an ensemble cast of actors including Brad Satterwhite, Noah Boger, Erin Ashe, Gary Giurbino, Nicole Martin, John Girot*, Zach Padlo, Gary Pugh Neuman, Drew Reitz, Lauren Hayes, Mohamed Ismail and Andy Rothschild.

Directed by Josh Marx, the creative team for A Few Good Men includes set designer Carlos Aceves, Sound Designer Jon Hayward, stage manager Caylyn Skoog, master builder Steve Nyberg, lighting designer David Gotlieb, costume designer Mae Matos, properties designer Alexandra Nemchik and hair designer Dee Morrisey.

Since 1941, the historic Hillbarn Theatre has served the San Francisco Bay Area by embracing this founding ideal - to create theatre with the community, for the community, striving always for excellence in production and education. Hillbarn has won a Theater Critics Circle Award, was accepted at the Edinburgh Theatre Festival, was honored with several mayoral proclamations for excellence in theatrical production and education, and received three Dean Goodman Awards for Artistic Excellence.
