Theatrical magician Christian Cagigal previews his new show, Now and at the Hour at EXIT Theatre in SF, Feb. 6, 7, 13 & 14, prior to its New York run.

Cagigal's previous show at the EXIT, The Pandora Experiment, played four separate runs in 2007-8 to full houses and enthusiastic critical reception.

Now and at the Hour, produced by EXIT Theatre invites audiences to join Christian Cagigal as he takes them on a journey through Time and Reflection. Not a mere series of tricks, Now and at the Hour weaves magic, mind reading, story telling and theatre into an intimate, interactive and altogether "slightly creepy" magical experience.

Christian Cagigal is among a new crop of illusionists and theatre artists that dares to go beyond the usual bag of tricks and bring you into a world of darkness, mystery and imagination. His work seeps into your subconscious until you have to ask, "This isn't real is it...?"

Winner "Best of Fringe" at the 2004 San Francisco Fringe Festival with his show Magic @ the Fringe. The show enjoyed sold-out performances at both the 2003 and 2004 San Francisco Fringe. Cagigal was co-director and creative consultant for the San Francisco Ghost Hunt Walking Tour, and has consulted for theater companies around the San Francisco Bay Area including Crowded Fire Theater and A.C.T.'s MFA Program. Cagigal has worked as an actor and writer for the world renowned political theatre company The San Francisco Mime Troupe. He can be seen in the upcoming film Fruitfly, written and directed by H.P. Mendoza. Previous magical productions include The 13 Steps and the critically acclaimed The Pandora Experiment. Cagigal is ready to perform for the first time in New York City. http://christiancagigal.blogspot.com/

Jihad for Vent and Dummy, starring Ron Coulter and his wooden-headed cohort, Sid Star play two preview performances in preparation for their appearance at the New York FRIGID Festival. Jihad previews on two consecutive Thursdays, Feb. 5 and 12 at 8:30 pm. Tickets are $10.

Ron Coulter and Sid Star have toured nationally, as well as throughout Asia for the U.S. State Department and the U.S.O. Coulter was one of fourteen world playwrights invited to the United Nations - "and one of two invited back." For two decades, Ron and Sid taught college theatre and founded and operated the Myth and Magic Factory in Oakland, CA.

Few ventriloquists risk the demands of character and plot-driven theatre, as in Jihad for Vent and Dummy, their latest work. Together, they have written, produced and/or directed hundreds of plays, entertainments, and theatre workshops titled the Poetry of Event. They direct the Dramateur's School of Drama in Oakland.
