Sandy Duncan will return to the stage in A Body of Water, a new play by Lee Blessing (A Walk in the Woods) that will premiere at the Old Globe Theater's Cassius Carter Center Stage in San Diego from February 11th through March 19th, with opening night set for February 16th.

The play will be directed by Ethan McSweeney (The Best Man), and will also feature Ned Schmidtke and Samantha Soule in its cast. The show concerns "a man and woman (who) wake up one morning and find themselves in a strange house atop a mountain surrounded by water. To make matters worse, they have absolutely no memory of who they are, or how they got there. How can you solve a mystery when you don't even know which questions to ask? And who is the strange young woman who seems to know the truth? Without the foundation of memory, life is a never-ending stream of possibilities — and secrets," according to press notes.

A Body of Water will feature sets by Michael Vaughn Sims, costumes by Charlotte Devaux, and lighting by York Kennedy.

Duncan's career has encompassed plays and musicals, as well as both stage and film. She received Tony Award nominations for her work in Canterbury Tales, The Boy Friend and the 1979 revival of Peter Pan. Other Broadway credits My One and Only, Love Is a Time of Day and most recently, Chicago. Film and TV credits include Never Again, The Swan Princess, "Roots" and Star Spangled Girl.
