Dominic Hoffman's EMMITT & AVA is a contemporary tale of misunderstanding between two families who, prompted by tragedy, suddenly find themselves highly motivated to communicate with one another.
Wyatt and Emma Cooke return home when they receive a visit from a stranger who impacts their lives forever. Now two families find themselves highly motivated to communicate with one another in the wake of tragedy. EMMITT & AVA weaves humor into its tale of woe, providing a familiar perspective on life and how we cope with hardship.
The Firescape Theatre in association with The Beverly Hills Playhouse of San Francisco hosts EMMITT & AVA, a compelling, thought-provoking piece confronting one of the key social issues of our time.
When asked, "Why do this play?", Producer Robert Zimmerman of Firescape said, "When I first read Dominic's script I was no more than five pages in before I knew we had to do this play. It's funny, it's tragic and it is unbelievably compelling. Everyone in The Bay Area needs to see this show because it's very much about where we are as a community and as a country."
The award winning writer and director of EMMITT & AVA, Dominic Hoffman, is a truly multitalented theater and film artist.
