Derique aka Lance McGee will be the guest on AfroSolo TV tonight, January 2, 2008 at 6:30 pm. Mr. McGee is an internationally known physical comedian, Emmy Award winning clown and vaudevillian. The broadcast can be seen on Comcast Cable Station 76 in San Francisco.
Mr. McGee is an AfroSolo Arts Festival alumnus. He has become widely know for his unique brand of Hambone Body Drumming (an African American body percussion art form), circus skills, and modern day physical comedy. He has touched millions with performances on stages and television shows, throughout the Americas, South Africa, Asia and Europe.
Mr. McGee has performed with entertainers, such as: Bobby McFerrin, and the late Lou Rawls and Sammy Davis, Jr. His television credits include hosting the KQED children's TV show Short Stories and Tall Tales, featured on the Disney Channel and a solo-performers edition of KQED's production of Spark.
