San Jose Repertory Theatre is proud to present the cast of the award-winning, cotton candy-colored, non-stop pop musical: The Marvelous Wonderettes. High school girls Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy will come to life on stage under the power-packed talents of Holly Davis, Christina DeCicco, Bets Malone and Lowe Taylor. Originating the role of Suzy, Bets Malone traveled with The Marvelous Wonderettes to New York and great success that included the making of an Original Cast Album. In the role of Missy, Lowe Taylor has enjoyed the longest run with The Marvelous Wonderettes, and has performed all four roles. With spectacular tightly-harmonized voices, The Marvelous Wonderettes perform beautifully arranged high-octane and soulful renditions of pop favorites from the fifties and sixties including, “Mr. Sandman,” “Dream Lover,” “Stupid Cupid,” and “RESPECT.” The Marvelous Wonderettes will run from June 15, 2010 – June 27, 2010. Press opening night is June 16 at 8:00pm. Tickets are on sale at the San Jose Rep Box Office at 101 Paseo de San Antonio or can be purchased online at www.SJRep.com or by calling 408.367.7255. Lowe Taylor (Missy) recently returned from New York having played the role of Suzy Simpson in The Marvelous Wonderettes off-Broadway. Taylor has a long history with The Marvelous Wonderettes having played the role of Missy at Musical Theatre West, Suzy at The Laguna Playhouse, and as standby for The Wonderettes, she became the first actress to perform all four roles. Taylor has appeared regionally in: Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Divorce!
