Cutting Ball Theater is celebrating 20 years since the company's founding and first production with a benefit honoring founders Paige Rogers and Rob Melrose. This festive evening, generously hosted by Zendesk, will feature signature cocktails, small bites, and a silent auction.
The honorary host committee includes Zendesk CEO and founder Mikkel Svane, actor Marco Barricelli, and Grammy award winning classical musician Mads Tolling.
"This event is an opportunity to celebrate where we've been and to kick-start our next decade of theater-making" says Artistic Director Ariel Craft. "Paige and Rob fearlessly founded their own fledging company two decades ago and built it, from scratch, into this institution that I am so grateful to lead today. Hitting the twenty-year mark is an enormous milestone for Cutting Ball."
"Cutting Ball Theater adds to the vibrancy and culture of our neighborhood and the entire city," said Zendesk CEO Mikkel Svane, an honorary host committee member. "It cultivates an inspiring community of artists and engages local youth through its education program, making The Tenderloin a better place to live, work and visit."
Silent Auction items include a three-night Healdsburg getaway for up to 10 people, tickets to Taylor Mac's Holiday Sauce at the Curran, a one-week stay in Venice for 6 people, and more.
Tickets are $75 and are available for purchase at www.cuttingball.com or by calling 415-525-1205.
