Contra Costa Civic Theatre's Board of Directors announced today that it has named Georgina Edwards as its new Managing Director.
"Georgina comes to us with exceptional credentials and strong ties to the City of El Cerrito," says Board President David Bogdonoff. "She left a strong impression on the Theatre Board and staff during her interviews, and I believe she will be a strong partner to our Artistic Director, Marilyn Langbehn, as co-leaders of the organization."
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and immigrating to the United States as a fourth grader, Georgina Edwards earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, followed by an MBA from St. Mary's College of California. She developed her professional skills in marketing, relationship management, and fundraising in a range of roles and arenas, including in non-profit human services, publishing, technology, and consumer goods. Most recently, Ms. Edwards worked with Goodwill Industries of the Greater East Bay increasing overall support for workforce development programs with corporate and major gifts. She is married to Barnaby and has two children-Maximilian and Iliana Rose.
