It's a garden of love. It's a garden of temptation. It's Cinnabar Theater's annual garden concert! The beloved professional theater in Sonoma County invites audiences to When A Man Loves A Woman, a luscious outdoor concert at 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 14. Enter the gorgeous grounds of an exclusive Petaluma estate to savor R&B classics from a smoking eight-piece band led by legendary singers Pamela Rose and Glenn Walters.
"We're thrilled to host these amazing singers in this spectacular setting," said Artistic Director Elly Lichenstein. "If you like Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, or Motown, you'll swoon for this soulful afternoon."
Enjoy cheese and charcuterie plates on the lawn under glorious trees. Then enjoy this passionate selection of songs from a band that the Contra Costa Times promises "hums like a vintage Porsche." A silent auction benefiting Cinnabar offers up gift certificates for theater tickets, gourmet dinners, premium wine, and more.
Pamela Rose is a San Francisco singer who performs regularly for sold-out crowds from Los Angeles to London. In addition to a showcase at the Monterey Jazz Festival, recent performances include the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Fillmore Jazz Festival, the Grammy Museum, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, the Metropolitan Room in New York, SF Jazz, and Yoshi's. Creator of the acclaimed Wild Women of Song cabaret show, Rose has six albums and a book on jazz history to her credit.
Tickets for these concerts are only $26 - or save $5 on every show by purchasing a concert package! Reserve seats online at any time by visiting cinnabartheater.org, or call the box office at 707-763-8920 between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM on weekdays. Tickets may also be available at the door, but reservations are recommended as Cinnabar's shows often sell out.
Every year, Cinnabar Theater produces a thrilling mix of plays, musicals, operas, and concerts in a remarkable range of genres. Cinnabar's Young Rep offers extensive activities for local youth, and the Cinnabar Singers welcome anyone who wants to be part of a chorus.
