Brava Theater Presents Front Woman Series, Starting 11/3

Brava Theater will present its first ever Front Woman Series as part of Sally's Nights of Music, curated by Brava's Managing Director, Hetal Patel. Starting November 3, 2011 through June 2012, Brava will feature various musical talents who will rock you off your seat!
For the past three seasons, Brava has cultivated the work of emerging artists from all disciplines and has developed the cross-pollination of marginalized artists by encouraging them to share their stories, aesthetics and music, with eager to-be enlightened audiences.
Now, Brava will present not just theater, but music too. To kick off the Front Woman Series, Brava welcomes the high energy and extraordinary band, the Fishtank Ensemble with the talented local songstress, Kelly McFarling as the opening act to the stage on November 3. Following this act is local favorite, The Beth Custer Ensemble on November 10.
"For many years, Brava has been supporting the unheard voices on our stage through theatrical and dance productions. I felt it was time to celebrate ‘Women that Rock!' Music has always been a personal passion of mine and I'm excited to bring these talented women led bands to Brava. Brava is a place for not only diversity in work and audience, but also in art form...we can't leave the musicians out!" Says Managing Director, Hetal Patel.
