The Marsh, a breeding ground for new performance, is pleased to announce a Marsh Rising performance of Bob Scott's THE JADE PYRAMID on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. The play tells the story of Billy, a lost child of the ‘60s, who latches onto various toeholds - a cherry Morris Minor, a desert bar and a ramshackle Victorian in Portland. It's got drugs and rock and roll but surprisingly little sex.

Direction and dramaturgy are by Roberta D'Alois, playwright and director, whose newest play, Rapture Makes Perfect, has just been awarded a grant from the International centre for Women Playwrights. The show plays on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 7.30 pm on The Marsh Main Stage, 1062 Valencia Street. For tickets, the public may call Brown Paper Tickets at 800-838-3006 or visit www.themarsh.org.

Bob Scott is a fingerpicker, poet, songwriter, teller of odd stories, singer of cowboy blues and member of many bands past and present. Some of these incarnations include Rhythm Kitchen, The Belvederes, Not Bob Scott, The Dave Marz Trio, and Lucky Lew.
