The Fringe has staying power. While three "Best of Fringe" shows closed the 22nd Annual San Francisco Fringe Festival with encore performances on September 21, four more "Best of" shows will return every weekend in November. Audiences will have the opportunity to see what they missed - or want to see again.
The three "Best of the Fringe" shows that played on closing night were truly audience favorites, judging by their being sold out for nearly every one of their performances. They were

"Genie and Audrey's Dream Show!" depicts the silly, erratic dream logic of a night's slumber utilizing circus arts such as acrobatics, juggling, and clowning, as well as poetry, dance and music. The result is a strange and unique show about the many meanings of the word "dream," the influence of pop culture on the subconscious, and the friendship between two women. All ages!

Maria hopes a trip with her mom, to her mom's home town in Italy will shed some light on their volatile relationship. Maybe singing arias at full voice in Safeway and offering to sell your daughter are just quaint Old World traditions. But even old friends in Italy are astonished when mom starts flinging pasta and bad poetry. Written and performed by Maria Grazia Affinito.
