Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for HOME. This production is led by Obie Award-winning physical theatre artist Geoff Sobelle and his ensemble of actors, dancers, and designers.

Straight from performances at BAM in New York and venues around the world, HOME is a large-scale performance project that revolves around the life-cycle of a house. Created through a mix of illusion, choreography, construction, and live documentary, this enchanting visual and immersive spectacle conjures a two-story house from the shadows. Residents past, present, and future rollick through its rooms in an impromptu dance that defies time and space, magically transforming mundane everyday tasks into a glorious, intimate, and profound celebration.

"It's a pleasure to have Geoff Sobelle back at Berkeley Rep," says Artistic Director Tony Taccone. "The articulate movement and compelling stagecraft in HOME has a rhythm that draws us into the meaning of house and home. The genius of Geoff's visual storytelling is that it feels like a ritual, but it maintains a sense of spontaneity. I'm proud to bring HOME to Berkeley Rep audiences and spark meaningful conversations about the spaces we live in."

Critics have praised HOME for its blend of performance and installation art. "HOME adds up to a wholly unique blend of concept, stagecraft, movement, music, and visual storytelling that gives fast-moving form to the ways, large and small, in which a house becomes a home," states the Boston Globe. "An invitation to this HOME is very much worth saying yes to!"

Previews for HOME begin Friday, March 22, 2019 and the show runs through Sunday, April 21, 2019. Press day will be Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Ticket prices for the run start at $30, and can be purchased online at berkeleyrep.org or by phone at 510 647-2949 (Tue-Sun, noon-7pm).
