Off-Broadway credits include: Avenue Q and Gone Missing. In London she was featured in (I am) Nobody's Lunch. Lexy created the role of "Dory" in Finding Nemo, the Musical for Disney. Regional favorites: Nerds, The 25th...Spelling Bee, The Spitfire Grill, Sylvia, Little Shop. TV: HBO Pee-wee Herman Show, and an SNL digital short. Lexy's voice can be heard on many commercials and children's books. She won an Audio File Award for her narration of The Books of Elsewhere. Lexy has a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University, where she won the Adeline Roth Memorial Award for acting.
"Brace Yourself" explores the possibilities of "How do you get to be thirty years old and then discover that the most successful relationship of your life is with your blender? Follow local Glen Ellen-ite Lexy Fridell as she recounts her attempts to navigate the World of Dating in NYC with her jaw wired shut, while performing in the Tony Award winning Broadway Musical AVENUE Q (on its pay-the-actors-less-but-recoup-the-same-amount-of-money OFF-Broadway run)."
WARNING: occasional drooling due to CNLLS (Chronic Numb Lower Lip Syndrome.) Bring a poncho if you sit in the front row.
We caught up with Lexy in rehearsal and she commented, "It's beyond my wildest dreams that a truly magical theatre company like Transcendence has settled right here in the incredible community of Sonoma. TTC opens hearts and minds and encourages people to follow their dreams. And it's a dream come true to have been given the opportunity to develop my own show and perform right here in my home town. So grab a glass of Cinq Cepage and get ready to "Brace Yourself!""
