"The passion. The music. The pointy ears!" Back by popular demand for only two weeks, Bat Boy: The Musical bites again by Ray of Light Theatre at the School of the Arts in San Francisco, Oct. 31 through Nov. 12.

Named "one of 2005's Top Ten Shows" by the SF Bay Guardian, Bat Boy features a story and book by Keythe Farley and Brian Flemming, with music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe.

"Bat Boy: The Musical is a dark funny, pop-rock musical that has earned cult following in New York City, London, throughout North America and Europe," states press notes, "Inspired by stories in the Weekly World News, this delicius twist on the modern day musical comedy chronicles the life of an extraordinarily strange boy with pointy ears, his struggle to find a place in a world that shuns him, and the love that can create both miracles and madness. Don't miss this event returning to the San Francisco stage for two weeks only!"

The special Halloween performance, Oct. 31 at 7:00PM, will include a costume contest with prizes and all tickets are $20.

Eli Newsom stars as Bat Boy, with Leanne Borghesi, Jessica Coker, Erin Diamantides, Lance Fuller, Kevin High, Kehinde Koyejo, Mindy Lym, Kevin Maldarelli, David Mugglebee, Soila Munoz, Mike Padilla, Steven Slatten, and DaRon Lamar Williams. The original Ray of Light Theatre Bat Boy is directed by James Monroe Iglehart, with choreography by Erin Cole, musical direction by Ben Prince, lighting design by Cathie Anderson, and produced by Justin Sadoian and Lori Fowler.

Show times are Thursdays - Saturdays at 8:00PM, and Sundays at 3:00PM. The box office will open 60 minutes prior to curtain.
