The B Street Theatre is pleased to present AN EVENING OF SCENES on Wednesday, December 3 at 8:30pm, immediately following the mainstage performance of HEAR THE GRASS GROW. This free performance will showcase ten new acting interns in five ten-minute scenes from contemporary comedies. No reservations are required, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
The interns meet weekly with B Street Theatre Acting Company Member Kurt Johnson for classes in acting and improvisation. In addition to this free night of scenes, the interns perform twice a week following the B Street Theatre's mainstage show. Tuesday nights the interns present a 20-minute
improv performance and Wednesday nights they perform monologues. These performances are always free and open to the public.
The B Street Theatre Internship is an intensive 10-month program that immerses young actors, directors, designers and stage managers in every aspect of professional theatre. Interns are recent graduates seeking their first post-college, professional theatre experience. Interns participate in
classes, receive professional performance experience and produce their own showcase performances while supporting the theatre's operations (box office, front-of-house, production and technical duties, administrative tasks and other duties).
The B Street Theatre is located at the corner of 27th & B Street in Midtown Sacramento behind Stanford Park Baseball Field at 27th & C Streets.
The box office phone is (916) 443-5300.
