Awesome Theatre announces 'TERROR-RAMA 2: PROM NIGHT', the follow up to 2014's hit, TERROR-RAMA featuring two new horror plays: 'Purity' by Claire Ann Rice and 'Sexy Vampire Academy' by Anthony R. Miller. Directed by Colin Johnson, 'TERROR-RAMA 2: PROM NIGHT runs October 14-29 at SF's premier independent theatre venue, PianoFight.
TERROR-RAMA, is a play incubator run by Awesome Theatre that commissions two new horror-themed plays every two years. Each pair of plays goes through almost 2 years of development, including readings, dramaturgical meetings, and writing workshops, culminating in a fully staged production.
In an homage to horror anthologies like Tales From The Crypt and The Twilight Zone and classic midnight movie horror-hosts like Vampira and Elvira, TERROR-RAMA 2 features its own horror-host, Sindie Chopper.
In Purity by Claire Ann Rice, a killer is stalking the dark streets of a sleepy community deep in the heart of America. Holding up in a church basement while they prepare for the annual Purity Ball, a man and a woman discover dark secrets about each other that make them wonder if the killer is right in front of them. Is anyone safe? How pure are you?
In Sexy Vampire Academy by Anthony R. Miller, Price Academy, hidden in the forest across the river from a small Oregon Town, is a high school populated by vampires where it is 1996 forever. When new girl Abby and her friend Simon decide to help Dreamy Vampire Cole escape the grip of Queen Vampire Callidora, the past and present clash in a prom-night showdown.
Featuring: Adam Niemann, Andrew Chung, Heren Patel, Kaylamay Paz Suarez, Kyle McReddie, Laura Peterson, Meghan Chambers, and Megan Luis

About Awesome Theatre
Awesome Theatre is dedicated to producing theatre not only for theatre lovers looking for something different, but for people who regularly would not attend theatre. This is accomplished by doing accessible, relevant and entertaining shows that combat the pre-existing stigmas. We believe theatre is for everyone, provided we tell the stories they want to hear. In addition, we try to engage people with each show by providing backstage/pre-production photos, blogs and video.
