42nd Street Moon annual fundraising evening will be called We're in the Money. Hollywood Sings Away the Depression Blues.

This will a one night only event on Monday, June 22nd at the Alcazar Theatre,650 Geary Ave, San Francisco. Tickets are $100 ($75 tax deductible)
Reception and Silent Auction at 5:30 pm

The production will be about movie musicals of the 1930s which were tough, sophisticated, bizarre and persistently cheerful films which both mocked and dismissed the Depression, but also reflected it in achingly beautiful ballads.

Songwriters include Cole Porter, Harry Waren, Jerome Kern, Ralph Rainger, Dorothy Fields, Johnny Mercer, Irving Berlin and the Gershwins
