American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Young Conservatory Director Jill MacLean announced the cast for the upcoming production of Sarah DeLappe's 2017 Pulitzer Prize Finalist play, The Wolves, performing at The Rueff at A.C.T.'s Strand Theater (1127 Market St., San Francisco) from Wednesday, April 17 through Saturday, April 20, 2019. The performance schedule is as follows: Wednesday, April 17 at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 18 at 7 p.m., Friday, April 19 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, April 20 at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets for The Wolves ($25) are available online at www.act-sf.org/csvshows or by calling the A.C.T. Try to keep up with teenage soccer team the Wolves as they stretch, run drills, and size up the opposition. But in between their passes are performance anxieties, family tensions, and complex conversations . . . Left lunge. Global genocide. Tampons. Do they have Skype in Cambodia? Right lunge. She got Plan B? There's the college recruiter! You're coming to the party this weekend? For these nine young women, becoming an adult doesn't always come with a game plan.

Says MacLean: "Part of what makes the Young Conservatory such a unique place to train is the opportunity for young performers to work with nationally recognized professional directors and be exposed to sophisticated and challenging material that features young characters, themes, and perspectives. Sarah DeLappe has written a play featuring nine strong young women ages 16-18. It's exciting for these teen actors to play characters their own age. I am thrilled to have Jessica Holt at the helm to lead this group of talented actors. Her experience and expertise will provide students with an incredible foundation for future acting endeavors."

Adds Holt: "I am so thrilled to be working with this extraordinarily talented ensemble of young actors to bring The Wolves to life. This story thrusts audiences right in the center of nine teen girls' lives as they warm-up for their weekly indoor soccer game over the course of a season. I love how this play asks big questions about the nature of our liberties and our limits, how we find ourselves inside of a larger group, and how we can better take care of one another. I can't wait to get into the rehearsal room with our fierce and fearless young actors to tell this powerful story about what it means to grow up."

Under the direction of Jessica Holt, the cast for The Wolves includes (in alphabetical order) Claire Bae (#11), Raina Bhargava (#14), Francesca Cohn (#13), Clara Dossetter (#46), Ash Malloy* (Soccer Mom), Mackenzie Miller (#00), Citlali Perez (#25), Lindsey Sohn (#8), and Mia Van Deloo (#2).

The creative team for The Wolves includes Sean Key-Ketter (Scenic Designer), Chanterelle Grover (Costume Designer), Haley Miller (Lighting Designer), Sara Witsch (Sound Designer), and Mary Naughton (Props).

The Wolves is made possible by The Bill Graham Memorial Foundation and The Bernard Osher Foundation.

A.C.T.'s Young Conservatory is an internationally-recognized professional theater training program for young people between the ages of 8 and 19. Under the direction of Jill MacLean, the Young Conservatory offers dynamic courses throughout the year for both beginners exploring acting for the first time and young actors with previous experience.
