The New Conservatory Theatre Center's Pride Season Twelve, Sanctuary, presents the comedy A Queer Carol by Joe Godfrey, directed by Clay David, November 29 through December 31.

"Finally, a version of this holiday classic for the rest of us," states press notes, "It is late afternoon Christmas Eve at the sumptuous home office of Scrooge & Marley, Interior Design. Ebenezer (Ben) Scrooge, designer to the rich and famous, is keeping his hard-pressed assistant, Robert Cratchit, at the office till the last minute as usual. Ben became a bitter old man after the death of his lover Jake Marley. Cratchit doesn't even have health insurance, making the payments for his lover Tiny Tim's AIDS medications even more difficult. The ghost of Marley wearing chains, leather and little else, visits Scrooge. Marley promises Scrooge, he will have three more visits. A distinctly queer, but yet familiar, cast of characters add new spice to this much loved story."

Show times: Previews are Nov. 29 – Dec. 1, Wednesday – Friday at 8PM.  Performances are Wednesdays - Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 2PM (no show Dec. 24 & no 8PM show Dec. 31). The New Conservatory Theatre Center Decker Theatre is located at 25 Van Ness Avenue near Market, in San Francisco.
