500 Clown returns to Segerstrom Center for the Arts with its "highly comical and daringly athletic" production of 500 Clown Trapped on December 1 and 2 in Samueli Theater.

This production, new to Orange County audiences, delights with 500 Clown’s signature mix of high physicality, raw emotion and powerful storytelling. Three performers become unexpectedly ensnared, and their response to this surprising chain of events simply spirals out of control the harder they try to free themselves. Slapstick mishaps, vaudevillian turns and untiring resilience are put into play as the clowns try to escape the trap they’ve made. Along the way, they collide with the questions: What does it mean to be trapped? To be set free? Who sets the traps?
