Gold and award-winning playwright Kate Moira Ryan embarked on a five year journey across the United States, interviewing over 50 Jewish women of different ages, ethnicities, and occupations. The end result is 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, a moving and humorous portrait of what makes a Jewish mother, a Jewish mother.
Directed by Karen Kohlhaas, 25 Questions For A Jewish Mother played to sold-out audiences and received critical acclaim during its New York City run, receiving a 2006 Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance.
25 Questions For A Jewish Mother will play Tuesday, March 11 through Sunday, March 23, 2008 at San Francisco's Marines Memorial Theatre (609 Sutter St at Mason, 2nd Floor).
The performance schedule is Tuesday - Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 3 p.m. & 8 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m. & 7 p.m. Tickets are $39 and $49 for regular performances; all seats for opening night (Tuesday, March 11) are $29.
