  3. The Odd Couple, the Female Version, by Neil Simon

“The marriage is over, Florence. We’re getting an annulment.”

Neil Simon gender swaps his classic, The Odd Couple. Felix and Oscar are now Florence and Olive.  Olive is messy, untidy, and unconcerned about the state of her apartment.  Florence is obsessively clean, tidy, and obsessed with hygiene. Olive's easy-going outlook on life soon clashes with Florence's highly-strung neurotic tendencies, testing their friendship to the limit.  When Olive organizes a double-date with the Costazuela brothers, their differences come to a head and sparks fly.

American playwright and screenwriter Neil Simon (1927-2018) is widely regarded as one of the most successful, prolific and performed playwrights in theater history. In addition to Lost In Yonkers, which won a Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize, his plays and musicals include Come Blow Your Horn, Barefoot in the Park, Sweet Charity, California Suite, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, and many others.
