Shadowlands at Lamb's Players Theatre

LAMB’S PRESENTS THE SAN DIEGO PROFESSIONAL THEATRE PREMIERE OF SHADOWLANDS
Lamb’s Players Theatre has announced the cast and dates for its production of William Nicholson’s award-winning play SHADOWLANDS. Shadowlands is an engaging look into the later-in-life romance between C.S. Lewis & Joy Davidman. Lewis was a popular Oxford University professor and best-selling author of such works as The Chronicles of Narnia, Mere Christianity, and The Screwtape Letters. Davidman was a quick-witted, award-winning American poet. William Nicholson original wrote SHADOWLANDS in 1985 as a television film for the BBC, featuring Joss Ackland & Claire Bloom as Jack & Joy. It won BAFTA Awards for Best Play and Best Actress. Nicholson then turned it into a stage play, which had successful award-winning runs both in the West End and on Broadway, featuring Nigel Hawthorne as Lewis in both London and New York.
