Encore's Totally Awesome 1980s Mixtape at Canyon Crest Academy

This summer, Encore goes back to the '80s with an eclectic mix of music from the decade where big hits and big hair ruled! Join us for Encore's Totally Awesome 1908s Mixtape, two nights of live performances by Encore Vocal Ensemble, San Diego’s go-to choral group for top quality and highly entertaining performances of music from musical theatre.

Encore's Totally Awesome 1908s Mixtape will bring audiences back in time to the decade of decadence. The show includes songs from the stage and screen, and will take you on a journey through the music that made us dance, made us feel, and made a statement about the generations who experienced the time. 

During this can't-miss evening we'll revisit some favorite hits like Fame and Man in the Mirror, and perhaps introduce you to some new (to you) 80s tunes, too. We'll highlight songs from the top Broadway musicals of the era, we'll rock you with a sampling of radio's top hits, and you might even hear a familiar jingle or two.
