This modern/contemporary dance work takes us back to Earth's beginning, and to our curiosity and discovery as its inhabitants were born. It explores our first relationship with Earth and attempts to reconnect us with it.
About JuxtaPosition Dance Theatre
Led by founder and artistic director, Nahyr Galaz Ruiz, JuxtaPosition Dance Theatre aims to make dances that create contrast within concepts, music, and movement. The choreography that most interests us is that which pushes limits, derives inspiration from unlikely places, and blooms from confined spaces. Our dances thrive in the bodies of the unexpected dancer and strive to depict both the joy and the pain in humanity. As an emerging contemporary dance company, JuxtaPosition Dance Theatre seeks to contribute to the vitality and enrichment of the artistic community in Southern California through our community outreach, choreographic works, and performance.
