Old Town Temecula Premiere! Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth the butler, Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure outWHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT! Based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn. Written by Sandy Rustin. Additional material by Hunter Foster and Eric Price. Presented through special arrangement with Broadway Licensing. This play is produced by Temecula Valley Players, a 501(c3) California Non-Profit. As Temecula Valley Players 2021-2022 Re-Launch Season continues, TVP is pleased to bring a beloved cult classic to the Old Town Temecula Community Theater under the helm of veteran award-winning director, Carol Damgen, who recently directed TVPs smash hit production of Mamma Mia! that re-launched theater arts back to Old Town in Sept. 2021 following the global shutdowns due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. In addition, TVP continues its tradition of education in the arts by introducing 14-year-old Jillian Barr who is a student at Vista Murrieta High School as CLUEs costume designer. Temecula Valley Players Guest Education Artist program allows TVP to provide creative internship type jobs for each of their productions. With CLUE taking place in New England, 1954, it afforded an opportunity for Ms. Barr to hone her skills while working with a team of veteran artists that can provide further guidance as she goes through her high school career and looking towards a future in costume design. In addition, TVP has invited back former Guest Education Artist, Randon Lane Jr. to provide Musical Direction & Live Piano to accompany the cast adding live background music to help further the dramatic storytelling on stage. He was featured as TVPs Assistant Musical Director of Mamma Mia! last Sept. Mr. Lane, 18, is finishing his senior year at Murrieta Valley High School and since Mamma Mia! received a scholarship to Webster University in St. Louis, MO. And will be pursuing a degree in Musical Theatre Direction starting fall of 2022. The cast features: Tyler Lloyd as Wadsworth the butler, Patti Drew as Mrs. Peacock, J Kay Weldon as Mr. Green, Kristine Kultzow as Mrs. White, Katie Bailey as Miss Scarlet, Tim Wheeler as Colonel Mustard, Cole Harvey as Professor Plum, Annalise Valenzuela as Yvette, Rossi C. Smith as Mr. Boddy (and others), Mary Bean as The Cook (and others) & Nicolas Amador as The Unexpected Cop (and others). As Audiences enter back into the Old Town Temecula Theater, they should be prepared to be immersed immediately for a true E-Ticket style experience, transported back to 1954, for a nonstop, side splitting, whodunit farce that pays homage to the 1985 film while adding their own original touch.
