Broadway/San Diego announced today that tickets for the long-awaited return WICKED will go on sale to the public on Sunday, April 19th from 7AM-9:59AM, in person only at the San Diego Civic Theatre Ticket Office. In its first engagement here in San Diego, tickets sold out by noon for the entire run. This eagerly awaited stage production will play San Diego Civic Theatre from Wednesday, July 29 - Sunday, August 30, 2009.
Winner of 20 major awards, including a Grammy and 3 Tony® Awards; WICKED tells of the remarkable odyssey of two girls in Oz long before Dorothy drops in ~ one with emerald-green skin, smart, fiery and misunderstood; the other beautiful, ambitious and very popular ~ and how these unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch.
