Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced a luncheon to laud The Old Globe's corporate donors for their outstanding annual fund support. The Annual Corporate Appreciation Event will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, Oct. 20 in Hattox Hall, located in the Karen and Donald Cohn Education Center at the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Optional tours of the theatre complex will be available at 11:30 a.m.

Spisto will welcome guests and thank donors for their support of San Diego's largest cultural institution. A short video presentation will be presented about the Globe's award-winning education programs that serve more than 50,000 children, students and adults each year. The video features interviews with Globe actors, including Old Globe Associate Artists Marion Ross and Robert Foxworth. Following the film, Tony Award-winning actress Priscilla Lopez, currently appearing in the World Premiere of Somewhere at the Globe, will talk about her life in the theatre.

Priscilla Lopez was last seen on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning musical In the Heights. She previously appeared in Nilo Cruz's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Anna in the Tropics. She received a Tony Award for her portrayal of Harpo Marx in Broadway's A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine. Her performance as the original DiAna Morales in A Chorus Line led to an OBIE Award and a Tony Award nomination and introduced the songs "Nothing" and "What I Did for Love."

Corporate donors support the theatre with gifts that begin at $1,000 and range up to $100,000 sponsorships and higher. Benefits and recognition opportunities include VIP tickets, opening-night dinners, special events, business development opportunities and ticket discounts for employees.
