The Empress Theatre Presents MIRTH AND MUSIC - A Benefit for Loma Vista Farms Image

A night of top-notch musicians and comedians to benefit Loma Vista Farm, a non-profit 5-acre outdoor classroom in north Vallejo that provides hands-on educational activities involving plants and animals for children of all ages and abilities.

On Friday evening (February 8) dogs got into the farm and attacked several of the beloved animals, resulting in severe injury and the death of three alpacas. This tragedy comes on the heels of vandals breaking into the Farm at Christmas and vandalizing the property and destroying the Christmas Tree's. The sale of Christmas Trees is one of the primary fundraisers for the farm.

The performers gathered for the special event are all animal lovers.

Chris Cole, a note vocalist, performed for 25 years with the R&B band, The Fundamentals. A Fairfield resident, he's also a tennis coach.

Jeff Tamelier is a former guitarist with Starship, Tower of Power, and Lydia Pense & Cold Blood. He is a sought-after musician, arranger and producer.

Will Durst and Johnny Steele are both past winners of the San Francisco Stand-Up Comedy Competition and regarded as the top comedians in the Bay Area.

Joe Klocek has been a Bay Area veteran stand-up for 20 years and described as "one of the funniest comics around who you may not have heard of" by popular funnyman Michael Pritchard.

There will be a silent auction and a special BottleRock ticket raffle. One lucky winner will get a pair of BottleRock tickets. BottleRock has been sold out for months so this is a great opportunity to get some tickets!

Public Information: Ticket prices are $20 online, $25 by phone or at the box office. Visit www.empresstheatre.orgor call 707-552-2400.
