The next New Village Arts Theatre (NVA) mainstage production will be David Ives' hysterical and philosophically clever Time Flies, directed by Associate Artistic Director Joshua Everett Johnson. Time Flies is a series of short plays, with a cast of eight actors who make quick changes between being mayflies, a washing machine and a famous french painter, to name a few. This summertime comedy is sure to have you rolling in the aisles!

Time Flies opened Saturday, August 1 and runs through August 16. Previews were Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31. Shows are Thursday and Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 3pm and 8pm, and Sunday at 2pm.

Tickets are on sale now! Buy tickets online or call the box office at 760-433-3245.

Season 9 kicks off with a new annual event: the NVA Summer Comedy Festival. Each summer, NVA will present a series of events centered around one of our favorite things to do: laugh!

Thursdays on the Coast is a free community visual and performing art walk held the last Thursday of each month throughout the summer in the Village of Carlsbad. Its inaugural season and opening night is Thursday, July 30th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event will host local and regional artists displaying their work throughout the Village, live art demonstrations, and ongoing music and theatre performances. For more information, call 760.434.2553.
