Cast Members From The Touring Cast Of Disney's THE LION KING Will Visit Families at the Ronald McDonald House In San Diego

Cast members from Disney's THE LION KING including the Cubs: Chaz Marcus Fleming and Jerome Stephens, JR., who alternate as Young Simba; and SADÉ LOUAnn Murray and JAMARIANA TRIBBLE who alternate as Young Nala; and Ensemble members MAURICA ROLAND and Paul B. Sadler, JR. will snatch time from their touring schedule to visit families of children facing serious
illnesses at Ronald McDonald House across from Rady's Children's Hospital to meet with families there. Cast members will do a Cast Q&A and chat about what it's like to be in a huge musical on the road ~ each child travels with family members ~ and play THE LION KING Trivia as well.

About the Ronald McDonald House of San Diego (RMHCSD)

Since opening its doors in 1980, San Diego's RMH has provided more than 140,000 nights of lodging for more than 14,000 families whose children face life-threatening illnesses and are receiving treatment at area hospitals. This engagement is currently one of seven productions running worldwide along with New York, London, Hamburg, Tokyo, Paris and Las Vegas. Now in its second sold-out decade in New York, THE LION KING is the winner of six Tonyâ Awards including Best Musical, eight Drama Desk Awards, six Outer Critics Circle Awards, the New York Drama Critics award for Best Musical, the Evening Standard Award for the Theatrical Event of the Year, two Olivier Awards, a Theatre World Award, the Astaire Award for Outstanding Choreography, two Drama League Awards and a Grammyâ Award for Best Musical Show Album.

Director Julie Taymor became the first woman in Broadway history to win the Tony® Award for Best Director of a Musical. Taymor, along with Michael Curry, created hundreds of masks and puppets for THE LION KING. Choreography is by Garth Fagan, scenic design is by Richard Hudson, costume design is by Julie Taymor and lighting design is by Donald Holder. The book has been adapted by Roger Allers, who co-directed the animated film and Irene Mecchi, who co-wrote the screenplay for THE LION KING. The score features Elton John and Tim Rice's music from the animated film along with three new songs by John and Rice, additional musical material by South African Lebo M, Mark Mancina, Jay Rifkin, Julie Taymor and Hans Zimmer. Chaz Marcus Fleming (Young Simba at certain performances) is eleven-years-old and an honor roll student at the Minisink Valley Middle School in NY; studied Acting & Dance at the Harlem School of the Arts for 5 years. Chaz can be seen in numerous commercials & print ads such as The Gap & Toy's R Us.

SADÉ LOUAnn Murray (Young Nala at certain performances). Sadé "Pooh" Murray, an energetic 11-year-old, who loves dancing, singing and acting resides in Springfield MA.

Jerome Stephens, JR. (Young Simba at certain performances) is nine years old from Towson, MD is thrilled to be joining The Lion King Tour after leaving Broadway. Feature film: Away We Go, role of Ibrahim. Commercials: iCarly, Comcast, and American Red Cross.

JAMARIANA TRIBBLE (Young Nala at certain performances) was born in Van Nuys, CA on April 29, 1998 with a glow about her that was shiny like a bright light from above. A star was born, with laughter in her heart and rhythm in her feet, she was more than just a happy baby. Although dancing was her first love she also discovered that she had a wonderful voice and began to sing.

MAURICA ROLAND (Ensemble/Understudy Nala, Shenzi & Sarabi) is a Pensacola, FL native and Louisiana State University graduate. Recent credits: American Vybe at Disney World, Orlando, Hairspray First National Tour (swing, u/s Dynamite). www.mauricaroland.com

Paul B. Sadler, JR. (Ensemble) is a native Clevelander and attended Wilberforce University. Broadway debut: Phantom of the Opera. Other credits: The Philadelphia Dance Company (principal), Cleveland Ballet, and the American Dance Guild. AEA member since 1993.
