Susan Farese Recognized as San Diego Musical Theatre's 2013 'Volunteer of the Year'

San Diego Musical Theatre recognized Board Member Susan Farese with the 2013 SDMT "Volunteer of the Year Award" February 9, 2014. Ms. Farese and was honored at a surprise dinner, presentation of a plaque and floral bouquet and Mariachi serenade on Sunday, February 9th at Cafe Coyote in Old Town San Diego.

Ms. Farese, President of SJF Communications, Legal Nurse Consultant, Veteran and SAG-AFTRA actor has been an SDMT board member since 2012. Susan is responsible for SDMT's PR & Marketing, including Media Release submissions to Press & Media, communicating via email, in print and online, telephonic coordination for interviews with press, production team and cast members and the public, submitting production information to online calendars, Social Media including Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest and other duties as assigned.

Producers/Executive Directors Erin and Gary Lewis, SDMT Production Team Members Jill Townsend and Neal Hyde and SDMT Board Members, Cinda Lucas, Delnora Janecek, Donnie Matsuda, Clarissa Palhegyi and their significant others as well as Ms. Farese's husband Mike and Daughter Emmy were in attendance.

Producer/Executive Director Erin Lewis stated: "Susan has been such an asset to San Diego Musical Theatre. Marketing and PR for an organization is a full time job and to find someone to volunteer to do it is quite rare. We so much appreciate her hard work in getting the word out there about SDMT. She has done a fantastic job!"
