THE PAJAMA GAME, last seen on the Starlight stage in 1979,has Sid Sorokin as one happy guy when he lands a good job as Factory Supervisor at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory. But his smile disappears fast when he discovers he's also landed himself smack in the middle of a labor dispute with a strike on the way. Staring him down from across the labor-management divide is Babe Williams, leader of the Union Grievance Committee. It's practically love at first sight; they fall for each other as they battle over the union's demand for a seven-and-a-half cent raise. The course of true love never did run smooth, but Sid and Babe's bumpy ride turns out to be lots of fun, thanks to some of the best songs ever to grace the Broadway stage.
Located in beautiful Balboa Park, Starlight Musical Theatre has been a unique San Diego tradition for 64 years. Starlight audiences can enjoy top notch San Diego professionals while sitting under the stars in a 4,200-seat outdoor amphitheatre.
