"No matter where you live in San Diego County you're not far away from an amazing performing arts venue. The goal of Theatre Week is to get you into a seat."
So says D. Candis Paule, President of the nonprofit San Diego Performing Arts League (SDPAL), which advocates for performing arts organizations and operates the iconic ArtsTix Ticket Center in Horton Plaza Park. They also manage the popular www.sdartstix.com, San Diego's only nonprofit online ticket service.
Theatre Week 2018 has a new way of pricing tickets: all tickets offered will be priced at either $15, $30 or $45. The goal is to simplify the ticket purchase process. The website www.sandiegotheatreweek.com is live with additional performances being added.
"This is our third annual Theatre Week," says Paule, "and our talented member organizations will be offering value priced tickets for their performances. Even organizations that are dark that week will have special offers for future performances. You'll just have to buy your tickets by February 25."
"San Diegans purchased five times more tickets in 2017 than they did in 2016," shares Gary Kramer, Executive Director of SDPAL. "We're working to introduce even more San Diegans to their local performing arts venues. From Escondido to the Silver Strand and everywhere in between - their options are considerable."
The San Diego Performing Arts League still has sponsorship opportunities available for the third annual Theatre Week. For a tailor-made sponsorship package please contact Gary Kramer at gkramer@sdpal.com.
