Everyone's favorite music café is serving up a celebration in observation of the centennial of Leonard Bernstein and Steve Reich's 80th birthday. For this special occasion, Pacific Symphony's Café Ludwig delivers an all-American program featuring a variety of chamber works in compelling instrumental combinations, bringing together music by these composers, as well as Schoenfield and Erwazen. This next concert of the 2017-18 series features the multi-talented pianist, Café Ludwig's curator and host, Orli Shaham, in addition to Pacific Symphony musicians Barry Perkins, trumpet; Jessica Pearlman Fields, oboe; Joseph Morris, clarinet; Paul Manaster, violin; John Acosta, cello; Kenneth McGrath, vibraphone; Robert Slack, vibraphone; and guest pianist, Molly Morkoski.
Patrons are invited to immerse themselves in the music, while enjoying coffee, tea and sweet treats in Café Ludwig's intimate coffeehouse-style setting. This matinee performance takes place Sunday, Feb. 11, at 3 p.m., in the Samueli Theater at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Tickets are $70; for more information or to purchase tickets, call (714) 755-5799 or visit www.PacificSymphony.org.
