Sunshine Brooks Theatre will host on its stage a concert from local musicians at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, February 16 at 217 North Coast Hwy, Oceanside, CA. The show is part of Sunshine Brooks Music Series, Oceanside's regularly occurring event as described at its MySpace page: www.myspace.com/sunshinebrooksmusicseries The popular series features original works fromperformers and bands from Oceanside and neighboring cites, who usually are not yet signed with recording labels, but do seek self-expression on the local music scene.
*One of the concert?s highlights will be The Cory Wilkins Band. Both blind since birth, singer-guitarist Cory Wilkins and drummer Laura Wilkins lead this high-energy band from San Diego. Brother and sister, along with the band?s Joe Kievit (bass) and Eric Deland (2nd guitar & vocals), they will once again rock the stage of Sunshine Brooks Theatre. The group has received accolades from representatives of Sony Records and Capitol Records. "This is a band that everybody needs to hear!", said Tom Long of Sony. The group describes their own style of music as a modern combination of classic Stones, CCR and Bruce Springsteen. The Cory Wilkins Band music can be previewed at their MySpace page.
