The City of Vista's Moonlight Stage Productions has announced its 30th Anniversary Summer Season at the Moonlight Amphitheatre. Producing Artistic Director Kathy Brombacher and Managing Director Dan Kays today unveiled the thee-show summer season: OKLAHOMA! (July 14-31), CRAZY FOR YOU (August 11-28), and MISS SAIGON (September 8-25). Season subscription tickets go on sale Saturday, April 24. Single show tickets go on sale Saturday, May 15. For information on tickets, call (760) 724-2110 or visit www.moonlightstage.com.

"The season is a salute to the history and future of the Moonlight Amphitheatre," stated Kathy Brombacher. "OKLAHOMA! was one of the first shows we presented and it's a production we haven't produced in 14 years. CRAZY FOR YOU is a testament to the theatre's reputation for great choreography and this show is a tap-dancing spectacular. We are introducing MISS SAIGON to our audiences for the first time. It's a show that will beautifully demonstrate the type of high-tech production capabilities we are now able to present in our new Stage House."

Kathy Brombacher will direct OKLAHOMA! - the first show she has helmed since beginning her involvement with the new Stage House which opened last summer. Joining Brombacher will be Elan McMahan as the show's Musical Director and Conductor. For MISS SAIGON, Steve Glaudini will direct and Carlos Mendoza will choreograph. Glaudini and Mendoza are reuniting after their critically acclaimed production of CATS last summer and their award-winning WEST SIDE STORY in 2007. MISS SAIGON'S musical staff will consist of Charlie Reuter as Musical Director and Kenneth Gammie as Conductor. The remaining artistic team will be announced later.

OKLAHOMA! - The summer season begins with Rodgers and Hammerstein's award-winning Broadway classic featuring a sweeping love story set against the American prairie. Infused with energetic, breath-taking dancing and some of the most classic songs of all time: "Oh What a Beautiful Mornin'," "I Can't Say No," "People Will Say We're in Love" among many others.

CRAZY FOR YOU - With music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin, this Tony Award-winning musical features unforgettable musical numbers from the Great American Songbook: "Someone to Watch Over Me," "Embraceable You," "I Got Rhythm" and many more. The comedy chases a 1930s New York businessman to sleepy Dead Rock, Nevada where he has been sent to deliver foreclosure papers on an old vaudeville theatre. But he falls in love with the daughter of the theatre's owner and the romance ensues! This comic roof-raiser is packed with dazzling tap-dancing numbers by gorgeous show girls and miners who trade their gold-mining pans for dance shoes.

MISS SAIGON - As one of the longest-running Broadway successes, Moonlight is excited to introduce this moving musical to its audiences. Two lovers - an American GI and a Vietnamese girl - are united in love but separated by war in a story set against the backdrop of the Vietnam conflict and the fall of Saigon. "Miss Saigon" is a modern re-telling of "Madame Butterfly" filled with Asian pageantry and a pop rock score by the creators of "Les Miserables," Schonberg and Boublil. This award-winning musical features "The Heat is on in Saigon," "Why God Why," "Sun and Moon" and the heart-wrenching "I'd Give My Life for You." The show contains mature themes, situations and language.

Moonlight Stage Productions is an award-winning theatre company presenting Broadway musicals each summer in the Moonlight Amphitheatre. During the winter, the Moonlight presents a season of plays and small scale musicals at its AVO Playhouse located in downtown Vista. The company and its artisans have been recognized by the San Diego Theatre Critics Circle and the Patté Awards for Theater Excellence among others.

The 2010 Summer Season is produced by Moonlight Stage Productions, a program of the City of Vista. Additional funding is made possible by the Moonlight Cultural Foundation, a non-profit organization that benefits the performing arts in North County.
