Diversionary welcomes fresh & favorite talent back to San Diego!
Winner of the 2016 Don Braunagel Award for Outstanding Work by a Small Theatre by the San Diego Critic's Circle, Diversionary has announced casting for the West Coast Premiere of HOMOS, OR EVERYONE IN AMERICA by Jordan Seavey.As the pendulum of progress continues to swing, a Brooklyn couple attempts to navigate the complexities of contemporary gay life together. Hopscotching back and forth over the timeline of their relationship, a sensual, hilarious and compelling story of their bond emerges. This brave, cutting-edge new play confronts the lingering dangers and interconnected values of our nation, and the way to our future may be found through our past.
About the play coming to San Diego, playwright Seavey says, "I am excited and honored for Homos, or Everyone in America to have its West Coast Premiere at Diversionary Theatre, where adventurous and provocative work is being curated and produced -- at a time when adventurous and provocative work is more vital than ever.
