Los Altos Stage Company Closes the 2017-2018 Season with the Magical Classsic PIPPIN  Image

The 2017-2018 season for Los Altos Stage Company ends on a high note with a production of the beloved Broadway smash, Pippin.

Young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power. In the end though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the simple moments that happen every day. With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson, Pippin has been hailed as "Beguiling, highly original and... just plain wonderful!" by The Boston Globe and "A truly dazzling feat of theatrical alchemy" by The Chicago Tribune.

Los Altos Stage Company's production of Pippin is directed by Virginia Drake (Circle Mirror Transformation, Man of La Mancha, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) and features Dominic Dagdagan (having recently performed in TheatreWorks production of The Prince of Egypt) in the title role. It also features Joe Antonicelli, Christine Baker, Stephanie Corey, Timothy Ford, Gary Giurbino, Tiffany Jianto, Rohan Kumar, Elizabeth Claire Lawrence, Russell Mangan, Katie Mazon, Kat O'Toole, Deborah Rosengaus. RuthE Stein, Michael Weiland, and Kaitlin Zablotsky.

Music direction by Brian Allan Hobbs, choreography by Brett Blankenship, scenic design by Lynn Grant, costume design by Scarlett Kellum, lighting design by Carol Fischer, sound design by Ken Kilen, and property design by Ting Na Wang.

Pippin plays at the Bus Barn Theatre May 24th through June 24th. Performances run Wednesday through Sunday. Wednesday-Saturday performances start at 8pm.Sunday performances start at 3pm.Ticket prices range from $18 (student) to $38, including gala opening night tickets with an artists' reception following the performance.
