Lamb's Players Theatre previously announced that MIXTAPE - the Greatest Hits of the 80s! at The Horton Grand Theatre will close today, October 13th. It will be replaced with Lamb's current comedic whodunit Coronado hit, The 39 Steps, running from October 22nd - December 1st.
"We've had a wonderful trickle down happen with our productions," said Producing Artistic Director, Robert Smyth. "MIXTAPE has been downtown since the summer of 2010 and has been a fantastic engine for the organization, generating a new patron base as well as employing over 50 local actors and technicians. Though I suspect we will see MIXTAPE again - we wanted to take it out on a high. At the same time - our current Coronado production of The 39 Steps is selling strong and receiving raves from critics and audiences alike. Transferring The 39 Steps downtown gives us an opportunity to reach an additional audience with this hysterical version of the Alfred Hitchcock classic."
