Lamb's Players Theatre announced they are offering $12 tickets to all middle and high school students for their current production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, playing in Coronado through July 6th.
"A lot of people are frightened of Shakespeare. Bad experiences in English class or of wooden dense productions," shared Lamb's Producing Artistic Director, Robert Smyth. "But there is a very good reason his work is still being performed 400 years later. Done right, he is entertaining, engaging and immensely understandable. Twelfth Night, is one of his comic masterpieces, and a great introduction to Shakespeare for young people. Audience and critics are raving about the show, set in 1949 at the Hotel del Coronado. So we are doing our part to give a next generation a love of Shakespeare -- we are offering "12th Night for $12" on any ticket for students ages 10 thru 18."
Twelfth Night runs through July 6th. Performances are Tue-Thu at 7:30 / Fri & 8pm/ Sat @ 4pm & 8pm/Sun at 2. All students (ages 12-18 ) will receive $12 tickets. Regular priced tickets range from $18 to $68 depending on the seating section and the day of the week. Youth (ages 5 - 17), Active Military (ID) and Groups of 24+ are always HALF PRICE.
