IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS Set for San Diego Musical Theatre, 12/12-22

San Diego Musical Theatre announces the final production of their 2013 season Irving Berlin'S WHITE CHRISTMAS, December 12-22, 2013 (press opening on Friday, December 13) at the Birch North Park Theatre.

Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaption features seventeen Irving Berlin songs, played by a live 22 piece orchestra! Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander. The dazzling score features well known standards including Blue Skies, I Love A Piano, How Deep Is the Ocean and the perennial favorite, White Christmas. White Christmas is back! ABOUT THE CREATIVE TEAM:

Todd Nielsen (Director) A multi-award winning Director, productions include: City of Angels, The Robber Bridegroom, The Secret Garden, A Little Night Music, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Phantom, Roar of the Greasepaint and Merrily We Roll Along. Mr. Nielsen served as Resident Director for the Cheetah National Tour of Disney's Lion King. Some favorite shows as a performer include: 1776, The Wizard of Oz, Side Show, How To Succeed ..., and Me and My Girl.

Lisa Hopkins (Choreographer) Lisa is very active in the theatre world as a producer, director and choreographer and master teacher. Well respected in the dance world as a master teacher and choreographer, Lisa has been on the faculty of "Steps on Broadway" in NYC teaching professional level theatre Jazz and Rhythm Tap and toured as an adjudicator and master teacher with New York City Dance Alliance.

Don LeMaster (Music Director/Conductor) An award-winning Music Director, Don has been the resident music director/conductor for San Diego Musical Theatre since it's inception in 2006. Don has MD'd at many theaters including: Performance Riverside, Moonlight, Cygnet, Starlight, South Bay Cities, North Coast Rep, McCoy Rigby and the Old Globe Theatre.

Matthew Novotny, Lighting Designer - Garret Wysocki, Sound Designer - Janet Pitcher, Costume Co-Ordinator - Kendra Stockton, Stage Manager

Todd Dubail as Bob Wallace - Todd was in the National Tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Patrick Cassidy, Jesus Christ Superstar with Ted Neeley, Grease with Frankie Avalon and Leader of the Pack. Favorite roles include Tarzan, Cats, Crazy For You, All Shook Up and Hairspray.

Jeffrey Scott Parsons as Phil Davis - Jeff performed in the World Premiere of Hunger: In Bed with Roy Cohn and the West Coast Premiere of Glory Days. Favorite credits include: Dick in Dames At
Sea, Malcolm in the The Full Monty, Billy Lawlor in 42nd Street and Bobby Child in Crazy For You.

Laura Dickinson as Betty Haynes - Laura is best known as a series regular on Disney Channel's Emmy award-winning Phineas and Ferb and the singing voice of the Pirate Princess on Jake and
The Never Land Pirates. TV/Film: Pitch Perfect, American Idol, Modern Family, MTV and VMA's.

Jill Townsend as Judy Haynes - A San Diego native, Jill's theatre credits include: World Premiere of Allegiance at the Old Globe Theatre, National Tours of A Chorus Line and Camelot. Regionally: Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street, Miss Dorothy in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Eileen in I Love A Piano.

Single tickets for SDMT's production of WHITE CHRISTMAS are $42.00, $52.00, $62.00 and $72.00. Children 12 and under are half price. There are discounts for Seniors, Students. WHITE CHRISTMAS show times are Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8:00 p.m., Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m..
