Four of San Diego's most exciting entrepreneurial arts organizations are announcing a joint relationship in support of each other and their guests in a ground-breaking announcement for the county's arts community.

Orchestra Nova San Diego, Cygnet Theatre, Malashock Dance and the Museum of Photographic Arts are announcing an ongoing co-promotion that is targeted at providing San Diegans with low-cost options to become involved in multiple genres of the arts.

"We are excited to be working with our friends at Cygnet, Malashock and MoPA to bring our individual artistic offerings to more San Diegans through this new program. In these difficult times, creative collaboration is more important than it's ever been before and I really believe that partnerships like this will be key for the arts to not only survive but thrive," said Tyler Richards Hewes, executive director, Orchestra Nova San Diego.

"It is also a wonderful opportunity for us to give our most loyal patrons and supporters a little extra value," said Bill Schmidt, executive director of Cygnet Theatre. "We are hopeful this collaboration will help foster greater interest in these four art disciplines."

The promotion includes:

* 2-for-1 single tickets for members, subscribers and donors of each organization to each of the other organizations (space available basis, 2009-2010 season)

* Complimentary tickets to each other organization's staff on a space available basis

* An agreement for each organization to publicize the promotion and each other on their web sites and electronic newsletters

* An agreement to display marketing materials at each venues

"This partnership is a testament to the strength of our respective organizations, as well as of San Diego's arts community at-large. The artistic programming that each organization contributes has proven to be great and now, with this collaboration, will flourish even more. It is wonderful to be working with our friends to provide San Diegans a new, affordable opportunity to enjoy the rich and diverse art programs that this city has to offer," said Deborah Kochko, executive director, Museum of Photographic Arts.

"There is truly nothing more effective than a group of people working together toward a common goal. Malashock Dance is proud to share a synergistic vision with Cygnet, MoPA and Orchestra Nova of providing high quality art programs to entertain and educate our audiences. This new partnership is a great opportunity for all of us to share our message across multiple artistic disciplines - engaging and inspiring a much wider range of arts lovers." - John Malashock, Founder, Malashock Dance.
