Soap star Gregg Marx brings his newest one man show entitled "Desire" to the stage at Arthur Newman Theatre located at The Joslyn Center in Palm Desert on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 2 PM. Gregg Marx show is just one of many in the Summer In Summer Series presented by Les Michaels Life Is A Cabaret which runs through November 20th.

Gregg Marx may be the grandson of Gummo and great-nephew to the Marx Brothers, but he's probably best known to television viewers as the Emmy Awarding, Best Supporting Actor who played Tom Hughes on the CBS daytime soap opera, As The World Turns. And before that he appeared as David Banning on Days Of Our Lives. But as a singer, Gregg is a celebrated cabaret performer appearing at Los Angeles venues including the world-famous Hollywood Cinegrill, Masquers Cabaret, The Gardenia, Feinstein's At The Cinegrill, Danny's Skylight Room in New York, and open-ended runs at both Maggiano's at The Grove and II Moro Supper Club.

Gregg is also the cousin of local legend, pianist Bill Marx, with whom he once joined forces for a sold-out performance at Herb Alpert's Vibrato Grill in Los Angeles. When he is not on stage, Gregg can be found in a recording studio as the voice of hundreds of television and radio commercials, television promos and movie trailers.

Joining Gregg on piano will be musical director, John Sawosky for the Sunday, October 9th, 2 PM show entitled "Desire". The Arthur Newman Theatre will open at 1 PM with tickets available at the door for $10 cash only. The theatre is located at The Joslyn Center, 73-750 Catalina Way in Palm Desert. Advance reservations may be made at 760-325-2731.
